Snowmass Ski Resort is one of the four mountains of Aspen Snowmass, which includes Aspen Mountain, Highlands, and Buttermilk. Snowmass is renowned for its relaxed, family-oriented skiing atmosphere, with extensive ski-in/ski-out lodging making it easy and convenient for families with children.

Snowmass Ski Resort has several types of lift tickets including day lift tickets, season passes, Ikon Pass, and the Mountain Collective Pass. Below is a detailed explanation of the differences between the lift tickets.
The Snowmass Lift Ticket gives you access to all four mountains in Aspen Snowmass. The lift ticket availability can potentially be limited during busy periods to maintain a good ski experience.
Snowmass offers several season pass options to cater to different preferences. The season passes provide access to all four mountains of Aspen Snowmass.
You can access Snowmass Ski Resort on 2 types of Ikon Passes. Ikon Passes are available for purchase pre-ski season until around the end of November. Lift reservation is required and can be made using your Ikon account after your pass has been issued. The differences between the passes are highlighted below.
The Mountain Collective Pass provides 2-day access each to 24 ski resorts across 5 continents with no blackout dates.
Snowmass Ski and Snowboard School offer group lessons, private lessons, and clinics. The check-in locations are either at Snowmass Base Village, Top of Elk Camp Gondola or Treehouse Kids Adventure Center depending on the lesson.
Snowmass is located in the base town of Snowmass Village, which is roughly 6.4 miles drive from Aspen /Pitkin County Airport. Snowmass Village has many restaurants, amenities and activities including ice skating, tubing, several rental shops, a bank, and a supermarket. The village is also connected to Buttermilk, Aspen Mountain, and Aspen Highlands via the free inter-resort shuttle.
Most of the lodging in Snowmass Village is located within a short walking distance or are ski-in-ski-out to Elk Camp Gondola, Village Express, or the slopes. This offers great convenience and optimizes the time you spend on the slopes. For more information, visit Aspen ski-in-ski-out lodging.

High Alpine Restaurant is located at the top of the Alpine Springs Lift, serving pizza, soups and stews, salads, grilled burgers, and more.

Located atop the Village Express Lift with the Elk Mountains view. The restaurant offers fine Italian cuisine including pasta, pizza, soup, and more. Reservations are recommended.

February is the best month to visit Snowmass Ski Resort for less crowds and great snow. It is crowded from Christmas week until the end of January as the town of Aspen comes alive for the Wintersköl festival and the X Games. If you’re a powder hound, the best months to ski or ride at Snowmass Ski Resort are December, January, and February.
Snowmass has several amenities at its base village including several ski rental shops, restaurants, a ski school, childcare, ski lockers, and a free shuttle service around Aspen. There are also plenty of winter activities to do including tubing, alpine coaster and more.
