Ski Resorts in New Hampshire

New Hampshire’s White Mountains are as stunning to look at as they are to ski on, and there are several grand hotels and ski resorts for luxury lodging during your ski vacation. 

For a special downhill destination, The Hotel Mount Washington is grand and gorgeous with a Presidential spa. Stay and ski for a weekend or an entire ski week at the historic 4 star hotel, with skiing at Bretton Woods – NH’s largest ski area. The Omni Mount Washington Resort, owned by Celebrity Resorts, has development plans to add a pedestrian ski village and build luxury ski townhouses for sale in the near future, to compliment the Hotel Mount Washington and Bretton Woods’ Spa.

In North Conway, New Hampshire luxury ski vacations to consider include The Wentworth or Eagle Mountain House in Jackson with skiing at Black, Cranmore, Wildcat and Attitash. This Mount Washington Valley regions if tons of fun with five ski areas to choose from, and the fun continues well after the lifts stop with  outlet shopping, dining, and après ski bars like the Red Parka Pub and Wildcat Tavern offering live music and a lively ski loving fan base. Loon makes lots of snow, and offers three peaks of skiing and riding served by quads and a base to summit gondola. The town of Lincoln has plenty of ski shops, a movie theatre, restaurants and pubs. Nearby Cannon is historical and highly scenic, with spectacular views of Franconia Notch, Lincoln and Lafayette from the Tram and the great long trails off the 4,080' summit.

Waterville Valley is easy to get to off I93 and ideal for families. The Balsams has recently changed hands and is undergoing renovations under Les Otten, so it will remain closed during the transition, stay tuned for our review when the new Balsams Resort reopens.
