Breckenridge Ski Resort Lift Tickets

Breckenridge Ski Resort has several lift options including day lift tickets and different types of EPIC Passes. Below is a breakdown of the lift passes and the key differences between the passes.

Day Lift Ticket

The day lift ticket can be purchased at the ticket office and online. If purchased online, you will need to pick up the lift ticket at Breckenridge ticket offices. This is almost always the most expensive option as you are purchasing at the last minute. 

  • Mountain Access: This ticket will give you lift access to Breckenridge only.
  • Cost: Price varies from day to day. Ranges from $159 - $226 for a 1-day adult ticket (prices subject to change). 
  • Days Valid at Breckenridge: Valid for the set days you’ve purchased the ticket. 
  • Available for Purchase: After early December when EPIC passes go off sale.
  • Ideal for: Unplanned ski vacation or last minute day trip to Breckenridge.

Epic Day Pass

The Epic day passes range from 1 to 7 days with the option of restricted and unrestricted. Restricted passes cannot be used on blackout dates, while unrestricted passes can.

  • Mountain Access: This pass gives you access to all 38 resorts owned by Vail Resorts plus partnered resorts (only for 4-day passes and above). This includes major Colorado resorts such as Vail, Breckenridge, Keystone, and Crested Butte.
  • Cost: The cost of the pass depends on whether it is restricted or unrestricted, with restricted passes being cheaper. The cost also depends on when you purchase the pass. Prices increase around September and November. Ranges from around $80 - $100 per day. 
  • Days Valid at Breckenridge: The number of ski days on the passes are valid throughout the entire season, except on blackout dates if a restricted pass is purchased.
  • Available for Purchase: Usually available for purchase around April until late November to early December.
  • Ideal for: When you are certain that you will be going skiing before the ski season.

Epic Local Pass

The Epic Local Pass gives you unlimited and unrestricted access to 29 resorts, including Breckenridge and Keystone, plus restricted access to 8 other resorts with some access limitations. 

  • Days Valid at Breckenridge: This pass gives you unlimited and unrestricted access to Breckenridge throughout the ski season.
  • Available for Purchase: This goes off sale around late November to early December.
  • Ideal for: If you are planning to ski more than 7 days at Breckenridge, or a lot at other Vail-owned ski resorts with flexible ski dates depending on the resort access restrictions.

Summit Value Pass

The Summit Value Pass gives you unlimited but restricted access to Breckenridge throughout the ski season. It also gives you unlimited and unrestricted access to Keystone. 

  • Available for Purchase: This goes off sale around late November to early December.
  • Ideal for: Gives the most value for people who intend to ski more than 7 days at either Breckenridge or Keystone only.

Epic Season Pass

This is the flagship Epic product. It has the same access as the Epic Day passes but is valid for the entire ski season with unlimited days of skiing. It is the most flexible and cheapest option if you are planning to ski more than 7 days.

  • Available for Purchase: This goes off sale around late November to early December.
  • Additional Benefits: You can purchase discounted day lift tickets.
  • Ideal for: If you are planning to ski a lot at Breckenridge (or other Vail-owned ski resorts).

Breckenridge Ski and Snowboard Lessons

Breckenridge Ski and Snowboard School offers group and private lessons as well as ski programs. The lesson can start at either Peak 8, The Village, or Beaver Run.

  • Group Lesson: There is the option of full-day or half-day lessons for ages 3 and above.
  • Private Lesson: This is a customized full or half-day lesson for up to 6 people with the same ability level. For half-day lessons, there is an additional fee per additional person if there are more than 3 people (subject to change).
  • All-Terrain Program (Ages 7-14 only): This program is a full-day lesson for children that have intermediate or advanced skills. The children will spend the day doing an ATP challenge which involves exploring a variety of terrain in Breckenridge. The challenges are different every day.
  • Women’s program: This program is only for women and is taught by women. Check out the top reasons to book a women's ski camp.

Some important things to note:

  • Lessons do not include lift tickets or rentals, however, you can add them at a discount when booking group lessons only. 
  • Lesson spots are limited so it is recommended that you book early. Bookings open in the fall.
  • The prices of the lessons also vary depending on the dates, the most expensive being holiday dates.

Nearest Town to Breckenridge Ski Resort

Breckenridge Ski Resort conveniently has a ski village, Breckenridge, located at the mountain's base. It is approximately a 2 hour drive from Denver International Airport. Breckenridge began as a Gold Rush base camp but it now has some of the best nightlife as well as being a creative destination with a dedicated Arts District. Breckenridge is also just 18.4 mile drive from Copper Mountain and 14.5 miles drive from Keystone Resort.

Breckenridge Ski Resort Lodging

Breckenridge has many lodgings around the ski resort and ski town from Bed & Breakfasts and budget accommodations to luxury hotels. 

There are three main areas in Breckenridge that you should consider staying at:

  • North Breckenridge area: This area is well connected with the BreckConnect Gondola connecting north Breckenridge town, Peak 7, and Peak 8. Staying around this area will give you access to all levels of terrain. 
  • South Breckenridge area: This area gives you access to longer green runs and plenty of intermediate and advanced terrain at Peak 9 and Peak 10 via two main chairlifts: Quicksilver Superchair and Beaver Run Superchair. Many popular hotels are located here including Village at Breckenridge, Beaver Run Resort, and Gravity Haus.
  • 4 O’Clock Road: This area has lodgings that are ski-in-ski-out with easy access up the mountain on the Snowflake Chairlift and access back to the hotel via the 4 O’Clock run.
